Departure: 10:00 From Dana point harbor.

Weather: slight SE winds with clear

As we left the harbor we were told about a large pod of Common dolphin heading down the coast but no large whale sightings. We drove for 6 miles looking for whales until we finally caught up with a mega pod of common dolphin. We estimate there were between 3000 and 3500 dolphin in the pod. Amazing sighting!
